Halûk was born in Ankara on 18 October 1965. He attended Istanbul Kadıköy Anadolu High after completing his primary education in Ankara. He joined PwC Istanbul office after graduating from the Economics Department at Boğaziçi University in 1988. He was admitted to PwC partnership in 1998.
In December 2012, Halûk was elected as the Territory Senior Partner of PwC Turkey and he has served in that role until December 2020. He has also joined PwC Europe Leadership Team in 2014 and has been a member of PwC Europe Board until December 2020. Halûk has concluded his active PwC career at the beginning of 2022 and retired from PwC.
During his career, Halûk had specialized in the Financial Services, Communications and Technology industries. Before taking his role as the Country Leader, in addition to the services he provided to his clients, he also served in different intervals as PwC Turkey’s Financial Services and Communications Industries’ Leader, Human Resources Leader, Territory Risk and Quality Leader as well as Assurance and Business Advisory Services Leader for PwC Azerbaijan.
Halûk is a Certified Public Accountant (SMMM) and is licensed as a Capital Markets Board Independent Auditor. Halûk has served in AmCham Türkiye Board during 2012-2023. He is currently a member of the Advisory Board of AmCham Türkiye.
Halûk is a member (and a former Istanbul delegate) of TURMOB – The Union of Chambers of Certified Public Accountants of Turkey,
the former Vice Chairman of YASED – International Investors Association,
a former member of Board and the Vice Chairman of the Independent Auditors Association of Turkey,
a former member of TUSIAD – Turkish Industry and Business Association,

a member of the Risk Managers Association of Turkey and a member of Galatasaray Sports Club.
