Technology & Innovation Committee
Technology & Innovation Committee plays a pivotal role in leading AmCham Türkiye’s efforts in digital transformation, innovation, and technology policy. In line with its cross-cutting nature, the Committee works collaboratively with other sectoral and horizontal committees, recognizing that digitalization impacts all aspects of the economy.
In addition to regular meetings aligned with advocacy priorities, the Committee organizes at least two theme or guest focused meetings each year. It also leads advocacy efforts and public consultations on key digital policy areas such as data protection, AI regulation, and digital trade.
Given the fast-evolving landscape of the digital economy, the Committee prioritizes dialogue with policymakers, regulatory bodies, and industry experts to ensure that the business perspective is effectively communicated.

- High-level meeting on KVKK reforms (Türkiye’s equivalent of GDPR), featuring the Head of the Legal Affairs Department of the Personal Data Protection Authority
- U.S.–Türkiye Digital Dialogue Meetings to enhance bilateral cooperation
- AI and Sectoral Impact Project in partnership with Harvard Business Review Türkiye
- “Empower Her: The Impact of AI on Gender Equality” session at the Trade Winds event
- Participation in SelectUSA Tech and Select Global Women in Tech platforms
- AmCham Digital Academy – E-Commerce Mentorship Program in partnership with TOBB
- AI Roundtable Series and the AI Frontiers Summit addressing responsible AI and innovation policy
Given the increasing importance of cybersecurity in today’s digital landscape, the Committee also focuses on promoting secure digital infrastructures, regulatory alignment with international standards, and business continuity. Through engagements with regulatory authorities and industry experts, it contributes to shaping a trustworthy and resilient cybersecurity environment, supporting both risk mitigation and innovation.
