Public Policy & External Affairs Committee

Committee operates as a horizontal and strategic body, serving as the Chamber’s main driver in the areas of advocacy, strategic communication, external and governmental affairs. By fostering cross-sectoral collaboration, the Committee plays an active role in shaping public policies and contributing positively to U.S.-Türkiye economic relations.

Throughout the year, the Committee organizes regular meetings to coordinate efforts in line with its advocacy goals. In addition, at least two theme-based or guest-focused meetings are held annually, providing a platform for in-depth dialogue on current developments with key stakeholders.

Key Activities:

  • Door-Knock meetings with members of the U.S. Senate and Congress
  • Engagements with the Turkish Grand National Assembly and relevant Ministries
  • Ankara Roadshow programs including high-level protocol meetings
  • Follow-up on the U.S.–Türkiye Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA) process
  • Follow-ups on Energy Dialogue and Digital Dialogue between Türkiye and the U.S.
  • Organization and coordination of delegation and CODEL (Congressional Delegation) visits
  • Monthly public policy meetings

Public Policy & External Affairs Committee offers its members valuable opportunities to engage with public authorities and international stakeholders, contribute to policymaking processes, and lead effective advocacy initiatives.
