Born in Istanbul, Fuat Murat began his professional career in 1989 at Çukurova Group after graduating from Haydarpaşa Technical High School and the Faculty of Business Administration at Marmara University. During his early career, he worked in Finance, Executive Assistance, Human Resources, and Marketing, and later completed language and HR training programs in the United States.
In 1994, he joined Borusan Cat as a Sales Representative. He played a key role in the establishment of Borusan Cat Georgia, serving as Sales Manager and Country Manager between 1997 and 2001. After returning to Türkiye, he held several leadership positions including Sales and Marketing Manager, İzmir Regional Manager, Customer Support Director, and Field Sales Director. In 2017, he was appointed General Manager of Türkiye.
As of 2020, Fuat Murat has been serving as a Member of the Executive Committee responsible for the Construction Industry. Effective April 2026, he will assume the role of CEO of Borusan Cat.
