Miyamoto International Türkiye shared insights from Türkiye’s devastating February 6 earthquake with stakeholders in Indonesia. These experiences enriched the USAID/BHA KUAT Activity workshop held in partnership with the Jakarta Disaster Management Agency (BPBD). The workshop focused on enhancing risk communication and capacity building for 20 Child-Friendly Public Open Spaces (RPTRAs) across Gambir, Tanah Abang, Kramat Jati, and Pasar Minggu. Participants learned earthquake safety practices, risk reduction strategies, and methods to communicate these effectively, especially to children, using picture storybooks. Each RPTRA received these storybooks to bolster community preparedness. By empowering RPTRA officers, the initiative strengthens Jakarta’s resilience to potential earthquakes.
