Murat Tarakçıoğlu graduated from Saint Benoit French High School and Boğaziçi University Department of Business Administration before starting his career at Ernst&Young Türkiye. Tarakçıoğlu joined Cargill in 1996 and hold various roles in Finance and Commercial before getting appointed as CEO and Chairman of Cargill Foods Türkiye in 2005. He led the transformation of the business both in geographical and product dimenisons over time which is covering now Middle East, Türkiye, Africa and India with a larger food ingredients portfolio. He is also a board member for PNS JV – the joint starches and sweeteners company of Cargill and Alpinvest, also MEFSCO in Saudi Arabia which is a JV with Arasco. He is married with two children.
